Isn't it the best thing to be able to do work while travelling?
As a Year 1 polytechnic project, this was my first time exploring Singapore's cultural landscape through the lens of a magazine. I produced all the photographs and assembled the full publication, designing a custom masthead and cover that brought the local sights and textures of Singapore to life.

Rows of hand-woven carpets hang floor to ceiling, their intricate patterns overlapping in a wall of colour and history.

An elderly man pedals his trishaw along a busy lane, weaving between the hum of modern traffic and glass towers behind him.

A lone pigeon circles above the temple's crowded rooftop of painted deities.

Golden evening light settles over a row of heritage shophouses, their shutters and signboards holding stories of an older Singapore.

A painted jockey races his horse past baskets of fruit, while parked scooters rest quietly beneath the mural's motion.

Mosaic glass lanterns dangle from dark chains, their red and green glow flickering softly against a whitewashed ceiling.

Warm lantern light spills over a narrow alley.

A canopy of mosaic lanterns hangs thick overhead.

Charms and beaded trinkets crowd together on a rack outside the carpet store.

An iconic Singapore mural of an old man sipping from a cup. His weathered face is rendered in striking, larger-than-life detail.

Skewers of tang hulu glisten in front of a Chinatown stall, a familiar sight of the street's food culture.

An uncle pauses on his bicycle before a mural of painted shopfronts, ready to pedal off after his shopping.
